About
Sierra Trek is Cal4Wheel’s premier event in California’s beautiful Tahoe National Forest. This family-oriented event offers something for everyone – from stock 4x4s on guided historic tours to fully built rock crawlers tackling the legendary Fordyce Creek Trail.
The weekend features great food (meals included!), a world-class vendor show, Cornhole Tournament, live band at the campfire, and plenty of time to make new friends and catch up with old ones.
Run Options
For Stock Vehicles:
- Wednesday/Thursday Overnight
- Saturday Historic Run
- Outer Limits Run
- Signal Peak Run
For Modified Vehicles:
- Intermediate runs with beautiful scenery and moderate challenge
- Signal Peak Run
Fordyce Creek Trail (Extreme):
- Extremely technical and challenging
- Requires: 35” tires minimum, at least one locker
- Recommended: Larger tires, two lockers, crawler gearing

Important Notes
- Wash your vehicle before the event – USFS requests vehicles be washed to prevent spread of noxious weeds like yellow star thistle
- Bring spare parts – Fordyce is demanding; volunteers can help but can’t carry parts for every vehicle
- Plan your route in – Large RVs and trailers can make it, but use caution on forest roads
