Basecamp at Fiddler’s Campground – close to toilets, washing station, pool, and showers. The Ranch at Death Valley has a grocery store, saloon, and restaurant nearby.
Planned Route
Multi-day overland adventure with an overnight at Barker Ranch.
Possible destinations include:
- Racetrack Playa & Ubehebe Crater
- Echo Canyon & Inyo Mine
- Badwater Basin (lowest point in North America)
- Warm Springs Camp & talc mine
- Geologist’s Cabin
- Barker Ranch (historic site)
- Goler Wash
- Charcoal Kilns
About
Join us for an overland adventure exploring Death Valley’s incredible mining history, unique geology, and remote desert landscapes. This trip includes an overnight camping run to Barker Ranch, where we’ll experience the backcountry under the stars.
Death Valley offers amazing contrasts – from Badwater Basin (282 ft below sea level) to mountain passes with stunning views. We’ll explore historic mines, old cabins, and some of the most unique terrain in the country.

- Firewood – For overnight camping at Barker Ranch

Important Notes
Desert temperatures drop quickly after sunset – be prepared for cold nights and possible frost in the morning. The overnight at Barker Ranch is remote and requires proper preparation.
