Jacob's Heart 2025
Jacob’s Heart
Thank you all so much for attending and for sending your kind donations. Your generosity made this year’s holiday toy drive for Jacob’s Heart a resounding success!
Event Assembly and Preparation
The group met on Friday, December 12th, at the Tractor Supply parking lot, directly across the street from the Jacob’s Heart facility. We began assembling around 5:00 PM.
I conducted a quick headcount and confirmed a great turnout of 30 people, including children and guests. After taking count, everyone focused on decorating their vehicles, transforming our 4x4 rigs into festive, holiday-cheer-filled transports.
The Delivery to Jacob’s Heart
At 5:30 PM, we proceeded to the Jacob’s Heart parking lot. We immediately began unloading the “haul,” which consisted of an abundance of toys and bicycles.
As is customary, we were greeted with open arms by the dedicated staff of Jacob’s Heart. I would like to specifically highlight that every year, the staff truly looks forward to seeing all the 4x4 rigs dressed up in holiday cheer—it’s a special tradition that means a lot to them.
After the delivery, we were given a grand tour of the facility and a detailed description of the vital work they do on a day-to-day basis supporting children and families.
Post-Event Dinner and Activities
Around 6:15 PM, we concluded the tour and proceeded to Cilantro’s restaurant for a great dinner with our extended family of friends.
Finally, for those who were interested, the evening continued with an optional visit to the Holiday Lights Display at the Santa Cruz Fairgrounds in Watsonville.
