Run Report

Even though this wasn’t an official SC4WDC run, here’s a quick report.

Attendance

Jason Stevens, Doug Rothstein, Kelvin Ramer, and Fred and Marianne Feldman.

The Run

It was an actual snow run, with just enough snow to keep it fun. We stayed at Sequoia RV Park in Dunlap, just a few miles downhill from the registration area. The run was very well organized, and the Kingsburg 4WD Club was very friendly.

We did not have to air down too much; the snow depth may have been two feet or so in the unpacked areas. Our $40 got us a dash plaque and a raffle ticket. I purchased a T-shirt and extra tickets—I’d somehow lost the extras, but still had my one from registration. I don’t know the exact head count, but there were quite a few people.

The event ended after the raffle around 2:30 p.m. The Kingsburg 4WD Club provided an air-up station on the way out for those who needed it. Our little group used our own pumps.

On the way down the hill Kelvin had trouble with his brakes, so we took it really easy back to the RV park.

Thanks, Fred, Marianne, and Kelvin, for joining Doug and me on this trip—you are always good company.
